Vanguard Insurance Solutions began as Vanguard Benefits Solutions in May 2003. Its primary market was individuals and small businesses concentrating in life and health insurance and its ancillary products.
A strategic decision was made in late 2013 to pursue licensing in property and casualty insurance. That was accomplished in January 2014 — Vanguard Benefits Solutions also went into hiatus at that time. It was not until May 2016 the decision was made to re-brand and reintroduce Vanguard Benefits Solutions as Vanguard Insurance Solutions.
